Exact coverage dates depend on your specific visa or residence category and will be confirmed once your file is reviewed. For a student visa, your health insurance must be valid for the entire planned stay. The exact coverage period is set by each consulate. For example, some consulates require the policy to cover from 30 days before your course starts until 15 days after it ends for programs of up to 6 months, and one year from your entry date for longer programs. Always confirm the requirements of the consulate where you will apply. If you apply for the study stay authorization from within Spain, your insurance must cover the length of your studies.
